Chop bacon/ham, & fry until crisp. Bring 8 cups water to boil in large pot. Add bacon/ham, Soup Mix, white wine (optional), and simmer for 45 minutes or until vegetables are tender.

Remove from heat; remove bay leaves & add cream or milk. Garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley.

Makes 8-10 servings.
