You add: 1 lb (450g) ham hock or diced ham, 1 lb (450g) Spicy Portuguese sausage, 12 cups water, 1 small cabbage chopped 1 (14oz) 398ml tomato sauce.
To make: Bring water to a boil. Add Portuguese Bean Soup Mix (not the macaroni).
Add ham & sausage. Cover & simmer for 90min, or until beans are tender. Remove
ham hock and cut off ham pieces. Chop ham into small pieces & return to soup pot.
Stir in cabbage, tomato sauce & noodles. Continue to cook for 20min or until
noodles are tender. Serves 10-12
